Night Vision – Live Fire Medical (Care After Dark)

This 9-hour live-fire training course is designed to integrate tactical medicine, firearms skills, and night vision operations in reduced-light and no-light environments. Students will work through the challenges of providing emergency medical care while operating with night vision devices, weapon-mounted illumination, and standard duty equipment.

Training begins with a classroom Care Under Fire (CUF) refresher, followed by range safety procedures, equipment checks, and confirmation of weapon zero. As lighting conditions deteriorate, students will progress through live-fire drills using rifles and pistols under low-light, white-light, and no-light conditions utilizing NVGs.

The course culminates with medical skill lanes conducted under low- and no-light conditions, requiring students to apply tactical medical skills while managing the limitations of darkness, night vision equipment, and their operational gear.
